Really Good Party
How do they say it - A good time was had by all. The weather was hot and humid but no rain at least not until that night. Brandon and his friends played horseshoes. The kids love the waterslid, well to be honest so did the adults. The food came out great. The dip I mention was good but I would but more sour cream. I was thinking next time I might stuff celery sticks with it. I uploaded some pictures of the party. Oh and of my tiger so you can see my progress.

Pre Party Time
Hello, just finish what we call stuffing a turkey and a beef roast. What you do is take garlic cloves slice in slivers, slice jalapenos, salt, cayenne pepper, black pepper mix it together. Get about a half a stick of butter start putting little slits in the turkey and putting this mixture in the turkey and the roast.
Then you put little cubes of butter in each slit(that just for the turkey). When you are done just for good measure pour a little of the jalapeno juice over the turkey and beef roast, let it sit in the refrigerator over night to get nice and seasoned. Down here in Louisiana we like our meat nice and seasoned. All of this is for my nephew who is having a birthday party. I am also making a dip I saw on facebook it's the first time I make it so I hope it comes out OK.
Cheddar Bacon Dip (a.k.a Crack)
16 oz sour cream
1 packet Ranch dressing mix...
3 oz bacon bits (in the bag not jar)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Mix together and refrigerate 24 hours. Serve with chips and/or veggies

JUST ANOTHER WEEKEND
Well it's football season so it's ULL, LSU and the New Orleans Saints. Don't get me wrong I'm not a fanatic fan. One of my nieces graduated and one is going now to LSU so I feel it is my duty to follow them. My nephew's wife graduated from ULL. Well as far as the Saints, they are my weakness I have backing them for more years that I care to remember the bad and bad until now the good. My other weakness is estate sales. My sister and I made a visit to one last Saturday and found this chair it's has some damage in back (not much). I am hope to find someone that can repair. It's all leather and it just called to us.

Sunday, August 25, 2013
It's a quiet Sunday. My nephew's birthday is today and as my gift to his party I am making a tiramisu layer cake (his favorite). It's my first attempt at making it myself. I got the recipe from allrecipe.com. We are not sure his kids will like it so I am also baking brownies also sending rice dressing to add to their menu of fried turkey. I hope y'all have been enjoying my cross stitch progress as much as I have. It is very calming to work it and love sharing my progress with everyone.
